Michael Jackson’s Son Blanket Takes Grandmother To Court To Block Her Access To Estate For Legal Fees
Michael Jackson's youngest son, Blanket Jackson, is taking his own grandmother to court in order to protect his dad's estate.
Blanket, who was born Prince Michael II before changing his name to Bigi in 2015, is standing guard against Katherine Jackson who reportedly seeks to extract funds from his father's estate to use for ongoing legal fees for an undisclosed business deal.
Blanket, 22, has teamed up against the estate's executors.
Despite the case being kept under wraps, speculation has it that the dilemma may stem from a reported $600 million dollar agreement allegedly made with Sony to sell nearly half of the mega star's music catalog, per the Jasmine Brand.
Blanket and his grandmother, 93, fought the legal battle together, however, after initially losing the case, Blanket was ready to call it quits, but the King of Pop's mother reportedly chose to push forward.
He's seeking to block Katherine's ability to use the estate to pay for the ongoing case's legal fees regarding the appeal.
According to US Weekly, Blanket feels his grandmother will likely lose the case, resulting in him asking the court to grant her "reasonable attorney's fees incurred from the pre-appeal battle."
