Kate Middleton and Prince William's recent sighting was out of the ordinary, according to a former royal aide.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were reportedly out and about over the weekend. They were spotted walking at a farm shop near their home in Windsor, and they looked happy. The Duchess of Cambridge, who had abdominal surgery in January, appeared healthy and well.

Grant Harrold, King Charles' royal butler for seven years, spoke with the New York Post about the outing. The former royal staff admitted that he found it strange and speculated that the outing might have been on purpose.

"I've seen the video of Kate and William -- part of me is wondering if this has been purposefully arranged," he said. "It seems quite strange that all of a sudden she is out and about, so I'd have guessed this is some kind of exercise to stop the public worrying about Kate."

He added, "It shows that she's doing well, she's happy, laughing and joking with William, so it seems like an attempt to calm everybody down, regardless of what may or may not be true."

Judi James, a body language expert who regularly appears on several high-profile TV and radio programs across many channels, including BBC News, Sky News, GB News and CNN, weighed in on Middleton and Prince Williams's recent outing together. According to her, the "sighting exceeds expectations."

"It offers reassurance plus an emphatic quashing of rumors flying around on social media. Kate appears more than happy to be visible, chatting to her husband happily," the expert told The Sun.

"Her stride looks wide, and her body posture makes her look healthy and energetic," James continued. "She looks happy to be out, happy to be with her husband and happy to be visible here."

Blanca Cobb, another body language expert who has been a featured expert and contributor at Today, CBS, ABC, CNN and Fox, shared the same observation as James. She agreed that Middleton looked happy because she had "a genuine smile on her face" and a "pep in her step."

The royal couple dressed casually during the outing. Middleton opted for black leggings and a windbreaker, while Prince William donned a blue coat and jeans. Cobb said it was among the reasons the locals did not immediately notice them.

"It's not customary to see the prince and princess out and about in casual clothing in a casual setting," Cobb told Fox News Digital. "This might explain why no one around them seems to notice their real identity because they blend in as everyday people."

She added that Middleton hadn't been seen in public following her surgery. She skipped several royal engagements and wasn't in a "royal context" during the sighting, which probably made many question the sighting.
