Chris Massy Says His Mother Cannot Speak For Him Amidst Dan Schneider Allegations: 'My Story Will Be Told From Me'
Christopher Massey insists that only he can tell his story.
Angel Massey, mother to Kyle Massey of 'That's So Raven' fame and Christopher Massey from 'Zoey 101,' is supporting former Nickelodeon executive Dan Schneider amidst the aftermath of Investigation Discovery's 'Quiet on Set.' The docuseries uncovers purported abuses and alleged toxic workplace environments at the network during the '90s and 2000s.
In an Instagram story on Wednesday, the pair's mother wrote, "You are awesome. You are a genius," over an image of Schneider at the Kids' Choice Awards. Massey continued, "I can't thank this guy enough for the opportunity he gave my son @chrismasseytmb and my family. Blame the parents, not Dan."
Massey shared multiple posts on social media, addressing the criticism directed towards Schneider and confronting those who opposed her online statements. Additionally, she uploaded several images showing her interactions with individuals commenting on her posts.
In one of her post, Massey wrote, "Pick a color. For all the flies that flew to this page, I have only one thing to say: Sho fly don't bother me."
Chris Massey, 34, addressed the issue following criticism aimed at his mother for backing Schneider, a former Nickelodeon producer accused of misconduct involving young actors.
Via his Instagram Story, Chris stated, "my story will be told from me..... not from a parent, a friend, a co-worker ..... ME !!! and only ME ...so please stop messaging me about what my mom said.... respectfully."

The documentary accused the Schneider of "abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate dynamics with its underage stars and crew" on shows such as 'The Amanda Show' and 'All That,' among many others.
Schneider broke his silence on the allegations against him during a sit-down interview with BooG!e, who played the character of TBO on 'iCarly.'
"Watching over the past two nights was very difficult. Facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology," he said.
"It was wrong that I ever put anybody in that position. It was the wrong thing to do. I'm embarrassed that I did it then. I apologize to anybody that I ever put in that situation," he continued. "Additionally, I apologize to the people who were walking around video village, or wherever they happened, because there were lots of people there who witnessed it who also may have felt uncomfortable, so I owe them an apology as well."
