Melania Sat 'Frozen' Beside Trump At Golf Event; 'Appears To Deny The Idea Of Any Stress,' Says Expert
Melania Trump's body language while supporting Donald Trump at a recent event appeared to "deny the idea of any stress," an expert has suggested.
On Sunday, the former first lady accompanied her husband to the glitzy event held at his West Palm Beach golf club, where Trump was presented with two trophies by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus.
Photos shared by the Daily Mail from the event showed Melania smiling as Trump whispered into her ear.
Analyzing the photos of the couple, body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that Melania "appears to be back in her supportive role here, leaning in to listen like a friend and confidante as Trump whispers some words in her ear."
However, the expert claimed she spotted a "problem" in moments where Melania and Trump did not interact with each other.
"The only problem is that she still appears to be frozen in exactly the same pose when he is sitting further apart from her and not exchanging any words," James claimed to the outlet.
James suggested that Melania seemed to be trying to show there is no tension despite Trump's mounting legal problems.
"Melania's body language works though and is photogenic in her signature sphinx-like way as it appears to deny the idea of any stress, pressure or tension behind the scenes," the expert added.
In a post on Truth Social Sunday, Trump boasted about winning the Club Championship Trophy and the Senior Club Championship Trophy.
"I WON BOTH!" he wrote.
Trump added, "A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing. A large and distinguished group will be there tonight. Very exciting, thank you!!!"
President Joe Biden mocked the GOP presidential candidate's post, writing on X, formerly Twitter: "Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment."
The event came a day before Trump attended a hearing for his hush-money case in New York Monday.
During the hearing, Judge Juan Merchan set the start date of Trump's trial for the case on April 15, CNN reported.
It would mark Trump's first criminal trial. He faces three others related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents and attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Following the ruling, Trump described his hush-money case as a "pure case of voter intimidation and election interference," according to CNN.
"This was a case that could have been brought three-and-a-half years ago and they decided to wait now, just during the election, so that I won't be able to campaign," he added.
Trump also scored a legal victory Monday when an appeals court gave him 10 more days to pay his bond in his civil fraud case.
The bond he was required to post was also cut by more than half to $175 million.
The former president announced during a press conference later that day that he will post the bond.
Trump and his co-defendants were supposed to pay more than $464 million by Monday after a judge found that they fraudulently inflated the value of the ex-president's assets.
Melania was not spotted in New York when Trump appeared in court, but she did tease a potential return to the campaign trail last week.
When asked if she will make appearances at campaign events in the future, Melania told a reporter, "Stay tuned."
