Tiger Woods, Ex-Wife Elin Nordegren Reunite To Support Son Charlie Amid Golf Tournament Win
Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren proved they're amicable co-parents when they reunited this week to support their son Charlie and celebrate his latest achievement.
Photos published by Page Six and People showed the golf legend, 48, and Nordegren, 44, looking on proudly as their 15-year-old son and his team received their state championship rings at The Benjamin School Tuesday.
Charlie's Benjamin School boys team clinched the Florida High School Athletic Association Class A state championship in November 2023, securing a fourth title for the North Palm Beach school.
Woods and Nordegren posed separately for photos with their son, who showed off his new bling.
The five-time Masters Tournament winner and the Sweden native, who tied the knot in 2004, also share daughter Sam, 16.
After he was caught cheating on his then-wife with multiple women, Woods and Nordegren split in 2009 and finalized their divorce a year later.
The pair have since co-parented their two children together.
An unnamed insider told Us Weekly last year that Woods and Nordegren were "truly in a great place" more than a decade after their divorce.
"He's been so great with the kids, and that really brought her around to having a friendship with Tiger," the source added.
Woods also spoke about co-parenting with Nordegren during an interview with Time in 2015.
"We're able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. ... It's fun," he told the magazine. "She talks to me about her life, I talk to her about my life. We try and help each other out on all occasions. And we work through it with the kids, the parenting program."
The athlete added, "She is one of my best friends now, and it's all because of my kids."
Nordegren has welcomed a son with NFL player Jordan Cameron since her split from Woods.
Woods and Nordegren have been supportive of Charlie as he follows in his father's footsteps and pursues a career in golf.
Last month, Nordegren was present when Charlie attempted to qualify for his first PGA Tour event, the Cognizant Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The teen ultimately failed to advance in the tournament.
While he was not present during the PGA Tour pre-qualifier, Woods has caddied for his son in the past.
The father and son have also competed together in the PNC Championship every year for the past four years, finishing runners-up in 2021.
During an episode of his series "A Round With Tiger: Celebrity Playing Lessons" featuring guest Jada Pinkett Smith, the golf superstar shared that he doesn't formally coach Charlie in golf to avoid putting pressure on his son.
"He just watches me do it, and then he kind of does it," Woods said of his son.
