Conjoined Twin Abby Hensel of Abby & Brittany Is Now Married - WATCH!
Remember Abby and Brittany Hensel, the conjoined twins? They've grown up and started a new chapter in their lives.
Abby entered matrimony with Josh Bowling in 2021, as reported by Today on March 27, according to public records. The 34-year-old twins now reside in Minnesota with Josh, a self-described "father, veteran, nurse" per his Facebook profile.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Brittany and Abby initially shared their remarkable journey on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996. Their reality series, Abby & Brittany on TLC, provided a closer look into their lives and unique condition in 2012. As dicephalus conjoined twins, they are fused together at the torso but maintain separate spinal cords, brains, hearts, and other organs. Brittany controls the left side of their body, while Abby controls the right.
Graduating from Bethel University in 2012, the twins have since pursued careers as elementary school teachers in their home state.
Throughout their teenage years, the sisters openly shared various facets of their lives on camera. However, they consciously maintained privacy regarding their romantic relationships and intentionally distanced themselves from public attention for over ten years.
"The whole world doesn't need to know who we're dating," Brittany stated in a 2006 documentary titled, Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16, "or what we're gonna do and everything."
Despite keeping their romantic lives out of the public eye for over a decade, the twins have expressed their desire to start families. During a documentary, Brittany mentioned their plans to become mothers, stating they haven't yet figured out the logistics of parenting.
