Rebel Wilson Reveals Why She Waited Until 35 To Lose Her Virginity And To Whom
Rebel Wilson got candid about her first sexual encounter in her new memoir, "Rebel Rising."
In the chapter titled "Late Bloomer," the 44-year-old Australian actress revealed that she had her very first sexual experience at the age of 35, the Daily Mail reported.
Talking about why she waited so long to be intimate with someone, the "Pitch Perfect" star said that she felt "no one would ever truly find [her] sexually attractive" because she was "a big girl" then.
However, when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, she said she felt motivated to live her life.
"Life IS short. I didn't want to live my life without experiencing sex, experiencing love... I put it out in the universe that I was finally ready. I was going to feel the gear and just do it. I was going to slut it up with the next guy that came along -- who also seemed like a suitable marriage candidate," she wrote in her book.
After being "finally ready," Wilson lost her virginity to comedian-actor Mickey Gooch, Jr. while they were filming the movie "How To Be Single." Gooch had a small role in the film.
The "Isn't It Romantic" star disclosed the intimate details of her first sex with the "Deported" actor, whom she was reportedly dating for a month at the time.
Before the big night happened in a room at the Greenwich Hotel in New York, she said she turned to porn movies and a vibrator to prepare.
"I'm a late starter, and now I want to be MVP... I'd imagine having sex and being intimate, and everything would always be in my head. 'Now, I'm someone who lives much more in my body. And I'm loving it. Now, I actually have a boyfriend, and he's handsome and rich to boot.'" she wrote.
Interestingly, Mickey did not know that he was Rebel's first sex.
"And, Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes, I lost my virginity to you," the actress quipped.
Wilson and Gooch briefly dated after working together on the comedy film released in 2016. They broke up in September 2015 but remained friends.
"Rebel Rising: A Memoir" was released on Tuesday.
