Kim Kardashian vs. Taylor Swift Net Worth 2024: Who Is Clearly Richer?
Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift have snagged spots on the Forbes World's Billionaires list this year.
Forbes' coveted list for the rich and the moneyed typically comprises entrepreneurs and business magnates. Interestingly, the 2024 edition, which reflected the entries' financial data for the past year up to March 8, saw the rise of 14 A-list celebrities, including the reality TV staple and the pop superstar.
Swift is a first-time billionaire, according to Fobes, after having a phenomenal year with her re-released "1989 (Taylor's Version)" album and ongoing "The Eras Tour." Meanwhile, Kardashian already achieved her billionaire status in April 2021, thanks to her beauty, clothing and reality TV empire.
But who is richer between these two female billionaires when comparing their latest financial feats?
The 34-year-old singer-songwriter recorded a net worth of $1.1 billion in October last year, landing her the 14th spot on the Forbes World's Billionaires list for 2024. Swift achieved the milestone after releasing 10 original studio albums, four re-recorded albums and several tours in her nearly two-decade career.
Her ongoing sixth concert tour, "The Eras Tour," which kicked off in March 2023, contributed a lot to her earnings. Per Forbes, she earned an estimated $190 million from the tour so far, post-tax.
"Her historic 'Eras Tour' helped boost the country-and-pop musician into the three-comma club -- the first person to do it based primarily on songwriting and performing," said Forbes contributor Devin Sean Martin.
The "Cruel Summer" hitmaker also owns several real estate properties worth an estimated $81 to $110 million in total. Swift has a $17 million "Holiday House" in Rhode Island, an apartment in New York and a house in Nashville, among many others.
But despite Swift's staggering net worth, Kim Kardashian eclipses her wealth, based on Forbes' updated figures. The 43-year-old socialite took the sixth spot on the 2024 World's Billionaires list with her $1.7 billion net worth.
Her earnings came from her several businesses -- Skims, KKW Fragrance, SKKN, Kimoji, Dash Boutique, Skky Partners Private Equity and Kim Kardashian Eau De Parfum, among many others.
Last year, Skims, Kardashian's shapewear line, was valued at $4 billion in a funding round. Its investors included billionaires Stephen Mandel, Daniel Sundheim and Josh Kushner. Meanwhile, she sold 20% of KKW Beauty, her cosmetics and fragrance company, to Coty in 2020 at $200 million before officially closing it in August 2021. A year later, in June 2022, she launched SKKN, her skincare collection.
Kim is also nicknamed the "richest Kardashian." Her entrepreneurial prowess propelled her net worth to new heights and significantly added to her earnings from reality TV.
