Sexyy Red claims that she was denied the opportunity to engage with students during a recent visit to a high school due to the apparent scent of marijuana emanating from her.

On Wednesday, Sexyy Red took to her Instagram Story to document her visit to a local high school in her St. Louis hometown. In the videos, she can be seen arriving at the school with crowds of students gathering around her vehicle. Sexyy Red, 25, enthusiastically interacts with her young fans, even twerking from the sunroof. However, the excitement came to an abrupt halt when the rapper revealed that she was not allowed to enter the school's premises due to the alleged smell of marijuana on her.

"Look, so this school, I came up here, got cute, tried to talk to the kids give 'em the word of the day and they gonna put me off tell me I smell like weed," she said in the video. "B***h, you're nobody, they ain't come to see you, Otis! B***h, you heard who they're screaming for."

Additional footage depicts Sexyy Red, born Janae Wherry, driving around the entrance to Harris Stowe State University in St. Louis. She was greeted by cheering crowds, seemingly to compensate for the disappointment of being turned away from the high school.

This isn't the first instance of Sexyy Red's visits to high schools sparking chaos. In July 2023, she made another appearance at a high school that quickly escalated into pandemonium. Excited teenagers abandoned their seats to swarm the mother of two.

Critics condemned Sexyy's presence at the school, citing her music as inappropriate for children. Responding to the backlash on X, formerly known as Twitter, the "SkeeYee" rapper clarified that her intention was to engage in charitable endeavors during her visit to the school.
