Jonathan Majors’ Faces 1 Year In Jail After Assault, Harassment Conviction Stands
'Lovecraft Country' star Jonathan Majors' growing rise to fame continues to unravel after being arrested in New York in March 2023 over a domestic violence dispute with then girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
On Wednesday, a Manhattan Criminal Court judge denied Majors' motion to toss his conviction. The actor's sentence is scheduled for Monday, per ABC-30.
Images and video evidence obtained by TMZ showed Jabbari's fractured finger, slightly bruised neck, and injured ear. Video evidence showed Majors, 34, using excessive force to repeatedly shove her into an Escalade truck.

In an audio clip, the 34-year-old can be heard claiming to be a "great man," while berating her when she was intoxicated, demanding she support him the way Coretta Scott King or Michelle Obama supported their husbands.
In December, a New York jury found Majors guilty on one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree as well as a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation. He was acquitted of an additional assault charge and one count of aggravated harassment.
It is estimated that Majors may serve up to a year in jail for the two charges, per the news outlet.

Jabbari's testimony stated she attempted to grab his phone after she allegedly saw a text from another woman that said, "I wish I was kissing you."
He responded by pulling her hands back forcefully, to which Jabbari says "felt like he was twisting my arm and my hand and trying to make me feel pain."
According to her, the 'Creed III' star also struck her in the head, causing her broken finger and lacerated ear injuries. The judge felt the evidence combined was sufficient to establish the actors guilt of harassment.
Majors' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, stated how "Jonathan feels disappointed by the outcome of the motion, yet he upholds respect for the process."
The former Marvel actor denied all allegations against him in a statement to CNN last August.
