3 Signs Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher Already Separated Before Shocking Split Announcement
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher's marriage was doomed, according to a report.
On Friday, Fisher, 48, and Baron Cohen, 52, announced they were separating. In a joint statement posted on their social media accounts, the two Hollywood stars confirmed they filed for divorce last year.
However, many were not surprised by the announcement. According to the Mirror, several signs suggested that the former couple were no longer together way before the announcement.

First, Fisher has been spotted hanging out with her girl pals since earlier this year. In January, she met up with Rosamund Pike in Los Angeles. She also recently had a night out with a group of pals, including "Downton Abbey" star Michelle Dockery, Australian actress Naomi Watts and film producer Bruna Papandrea. She shared a group photo from the outing and captioned it: "Girls night at the theater."
Second, the outlet noted how Fisher would go to lengths to cover up her wedding finger whenever she was photographed. In one photo captured last month, the Australian actress and writer strategically hid her hand behind the folds of her dress. In other snaps taken in January, she also covered up her hands inside the fabric of an extravagant outfit.
Third, although they were both active on social media, they haven't uploaded new photos of them together in the past months. They have been noticeably absent from each other's social media feeds.
Fisher's last post with her husband was in November. In the shot, both held a bottle while smiling at the camera.
"Off screen date & on screen date," she wrote in the caption.
On the other hand, Baron Cohen hasn't uploaded any photos of his wife on his feed except for when he marked her birthday in February 2023. In the snap he uploaded, Fisher wore a black top and gray mini-skirt with one hand on her waist and another holding a glass of beer while seemingly thinking about something.
"Isla looking at me and thinking 'ten more of these and I may find him a tiny bit attractive.' Happy Birthday my darling," Baron Cohen captioned the post.
The exes released their split announcement on their respective Instagram Stories. In their joint statement, they revealed that they had filed for divorce last year.
"After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage," they wrote.
"We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy."
