JoJo Siwa is regretting some of the decisions she's made in her relationships.

The now 20-year-old dancer and former reality star is currently single and living alone for the first time. But long before she became independent, Siwa had already experienced living with a partner under the same roof by the time she was 17.

The "Dance Moms" alum made the revelation during a chat with host Alex Cooper on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast Tuesday, sharing that she and her then-16-year-old girlfriend were like "a married couple," though they were living with Siwa's parents.

"I look back at my past. ... As a 20-year-old, I look at a 16-year-old, and I'm like, 'Oh my God, you are the age that my girlfriend was when she moved into my house,'" Siwa recalled. "I don't know how it happened."

Siwa, who noted she was only "nine months older" than her girlfriend at the time, went on to joke, "Clearly, U-Haul lesbians are a very real thing. [I] was one without even knowing what one was."

The social media personality explained that it was a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic, summer and their desire not to be long distance that led to them living together.

Siwa said her girlfriend lived with her in her California home for "nine months," and by that time, "we were a married couple at 17 and 16."

However, the relationship did not last, and Siwa and her partner eventually broke up -- which the dancer described as "so hard and so great at the same time."

Reflecting on the situation, Siwa said she, her ex-girlfriend and her family now acknowledge that moving in as teenagers was not a good idea.

"My mom says all the time, 'I should've never allowed my 16-year-old's partner to live with us. That was not healthy for you, much less her and her family. Someone should've put their foot down,'" Siwa told Cooper. "But no one at the time felt it was right to."

While Siwa did not name the girlfriend she was referring to, she dated Kylie Prew, who is around her age, after they met on a cruise in 2020.

Siwa went public with their relationship in February 2021 when she revealed she had a girlfriend during a "Tonight Show" appearance.

However, the pair ended up parting ways in October that year.

"Right person, wrong time," Siwa said of their split on Paris Hilton's "This Is Paris" podcast in November 2021.

The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant said her "hectic schedule" and their ages were some of the reasons behind the split.

"We're both so young, she's 17, I'm 18, and we are literally best friends. And I would take a bullet for her, and I know she would do the same for me," Siwa said of Prew at the time.

Siwa confirmed during her interview with Cooper that she and Prew remain close friends today.

Describing her ex as a "good partner," she said she talks to Prew about her love life -- or the lack thereof -- "all the time."

Since her split from Prew, Siwa has been linked to content creator Katie Mills and TikTok personality Avery Cyrus.

Following her breakup with Cyrus in late 2022, Siwa cryptically said in an Instagram video that she "got used for views and for clout."

Cyrus has denied the claims she was the person Siwa was referring to, telling E! News at the time: "From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends."

Siwa admitted to Cooper Tuesday that part of the reason she remains single was the "trauma" from her previous relationship.

However, she suggested that she still looks forward to falling in love again.

"Until now I'm like, 'Oh that's why you can't talk to a girl, because of that.' It's hard, I'm very focused right now," Siwa explained. "I'm very into my art, I'm very into my career, so I'm very lucky I have that to preoccupy me. But I love love."
