‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ CinemaCon Leak: Here’s How Cinema Cups Look Like
Someone leaked the special cups likely to be offered at the cinemas alongside the release of "Deadpool & Wolverine" in July.
X user @TheMoviePodcast tweeted a photo and video of the "Deadpool & Wolverine" cups given at the CinemaCon at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
As seen in the tweet, the cup featured Wolverine in his classic yellow-and-blue costume. Meanwhile, Deadpool, in his black-and-red costume, showed a finger-in-mouth pose.
One netizen responded to the leak and wrote, "They said no photos when we were there."
Another said, "Scumbags don't follow rules."
Meanwhile, others showed their excitement and asked for more information about the cups handed out at the event.
"When will this drop? I need it!" commented one netizen.
"What theater chain is this cup going to be at?" asked someone else.
"Shut up and take my money," tweeted someone else.
"Okay, now a legit reason to go to the theaters," said another commenter.
"Immediate cop, take my money (what's left of it anyway)," quipped another person.
"I need it! This is our first look at Hugh in the Wolverine cowl!" wrote a different netizen.
"I gotta have one!" said another.
During CinemaCon, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige dropped the F-bomb when he introduced the "Deadpool & Wolverine" director Shawn Levy.
"Another thing that is f***ing awesome is the director that we get to work with is your honoree for Director of the Year tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Shawn Levy," he said.
Before the presentation for the film began, they showed an F-bomb-filled "Silence your phone" PSA where Deadpool was interrupted several times by a phone in the audience while he was explaining his theories. Wolverine then lost his temper and gave people an F-bomb-filled request to turn off their phones, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, Levy showed off nine minutes of spoiler-free scenes featuring superhero-turned-car salesman Wade Wilson. The character mentioned a certain Marvel executive by name and the things he couldn't show in the film, per THR.
Feige said the nine-minute clip was made by Levy and Ryan Reynolds specifically for CinemaCon attendees.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is scheduled for official theater release on July 26.
