Meghan Markle Fears Her Kids Will Resent Her For Losing The Chance To Be Working Royals: Report
Meghan Markle reportedly harbors concerns about her children resenting her if they miss out on the opportunity to pursue royal duties in the United Kingdom.
According to a royal expert, Markle, 42, reportedly expressed concern that her kids; Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, might feel a sense of loss for not having the chance to engage in royal duties, potentially leading to them holding her responsible for this missed opportunity.
Despite finding aspects of British life appealing, the Duchess of Sussex reportedly remains "furious at the way she was treated" during her time as a member of the royal family. Nonetheless, she also reportedly worries that her decision to withdraw from royal responsibilities and settle in Montecito, California, could result in her children resenting her for their lack of connection to their paternal family overseas.
Markle and her husband Prince Harry stepped down from their royal roles in 2020.
In an interview with 'The Mirror,' royal expert Tom Quinn said: "On the other hand, we should always remember that phrase - 'never say never,' because it will come back to haunt you when you change your mind, especially if you are a public figure like Meghan."
"A friend of the couple - one of Meghan's few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK - told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals," Quinn suspected.
"It will be a long time before Meghan reappears in the UK," Quinn claims. "She has already publicly stated that she will not return to the UK, and her friends insist she is still furious at the way she feels she was treated during her time in Britain."
