Jennifer Lopez Is ‘Disappointed’ Over 'Embarrassing' Concert Ticket Sales, But Is ‘Proud’ Of New Endeavors
She's still "Jenny from the Block," even with low concert ticket sales.
According to a US Weekly source, Jennifer Lopez is "disappointed" by the "underwhelming" response to her ninth studio album, "This Is Me ... Now."
Lopez, 54, is reportedly not letting the "bad press" discourage her, a second source told the outlet. "Jennifer's very focused on her next project."
The album, which was released on Feb. 16, debuted at No. 38 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, then disappeared, Forbes reported. The 13-track album was the lowest-ranked album from the singer, the outlet reported.
The project received a score of 61 out of 100 on Metacritic based on ten critics' reviews, indicating "generally favorable" reception.
The insider claimed the mother of twins has been through "plenty of problems like this before and has gotten over them." They added how "She moves on when things like this happen."
In addition to low album sales, the actress also canceled numerous tour dates in her upcoming tour, 'This Is Me ... Now,' a tour that was rebranded after reported low ticket sales. The tour was initially called, "This Is Me... Now," to "This Is Me... Live/The Greatest Hits," Variety reported.
Concert dates scheduled between August 22-30 in Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans were canned. The 'Enough' actress and her team didn not explain why the southern United States dates were canceled. According to Ticketmaster, those dates were not rescheduled.
"This is super embarrassing," Matthew Belloni, co-founder of the Puck newsletter, called the news on April 8.
Despite low album and ticket sales, "Jennifer is extremely proud of all the hard work she puts into her projects, and Ben [Affleck] has been a huge support through it all," the third source shared with US Weekly.
The pair, who tied the knot on July 16, 2022 in Las Vegas, are reportedly house-hunting in New York City.
