Nicki Minaj’s Sex Offender Husband Allowed To Exit US, Join 'Pink Friday 2' World Tour
Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, will be able to join her on the international stops of her "Pink Friday 2" world tour.
This week, a California district judge granted the registered sex offender's legal motion for permission to leave the U.S. and travel to other countries with Minaj "for his wife's tour and her professional purposes," The Daily Beast reported, citing court documents.
"Mr. Petty and Mrs. Petty believe Mr. Petty is necessary to accompany the family on the tour for various purposes, including childcare," the motion stated.
Petty, who shares a 3-year-old son with Minaj, indicated in the motion that they plan to travel internationally from April 17 through July 14, when the "Anaconda" rapper is set to wrap up her tour.
But Petty is required to inform his probation officer about the details of their travel itinerary when asked, according to the documents.
He also has to check in with his probation officer right after he returns to the U.S. following the planned travel.

In 1995, Petty was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree for an assault the previous year of a then-16-year-old girl and spent four years in prison in New York.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
Petty was arrested in 2020 for failing to register in California as a sex offender and was sentenced in 2022 to three years of probation, one year of house arrest and a fine of $55,000.
Last year, he was sentenced to serve another 120 days of house arrest after he violated the terms of his probation.
This stemmed from a video showing Petty "making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record," Rolling Stone reported, citing a court order.
The individual was identified by journalist Meghann Cuniff as rapper Offset.
After releasing her fifth studio album, "Pink Friday 2," in December 2023, Minaj kicked off her world tour on March 1 in Oakland, California.
She is set to perform two nights in Canada this week and a third concert in Toronto on April 30.
Other international stops include the Netherlands, England, Scotland, France and Germany.
She will conclude her tour at Astrid Park in Liège, Belgium, on July 14.
While her husband has been allowed to travel internationally, Petty could still be barred by countries from entering due to his sex offender status.
"In Canada, individuals with certain criminal convictions may be deemed inadmissible and denied entry," former federal prosecutor Duncan Levin told the Daily Beast.
"Similarly, the U.K. has rules regarding the entry of individuals with criminal records, and sex offenses are taken particularly seriously."
