Angelina Jolie Allegedly Claims Brad Pitt 'Is Bleeding Her Dry' Amid Legal Battle But Report Says It's The Opposite
Angelina Jolie has reportedly claimed that her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, was draining her financially when her fortune soared after their separation.
Jolie, 48, and Pitt, 60, were together for 12 years from 2004 to 2016. They got married in 2014 and split two years later following an altercation onboard a plane with their kids when they were traveling from France to Los Angeles.
It has been nearly 10 years since their split, but the exes are still embroiled in a nasty legal battle over their winery business. In Jolie's recent filing obtained by the Daily Mail, she claimed that he was trying to "control and financially drain her."
"It is extremely painful for Jolie to have to defend herself from Pitt's lawsuit -- itself another example of Pitt's unrelenting efforts to control and financially drain her -- especially because Pitt's false allegations as to the reasons the Miraval deal cratered can only proven by doing exactly what Jolie never wanted to do: Provide to the trier of fact the reason the Miraval deal failed, which was Pitt's demand for an NDA to cover up his history of physical and emotional abuse of Jolie and their family," Jolie's filing read.
However, an unnamed source claimed that Pitt helped enrich Jolie by close to $100 million when they were together. The money reportedly came from loans, child support, gifts and the millions she made after she sold her 50% share in their winery business, Chateau Miraval, in which 10% was a gift from her ex-husband.
"Angie says Brad is bleeding her dry -- but it looks like she wants to bleed him dry," the unnamed source told the outlet. "Far from being out to ruin his ex, it looks like Brad has bent over backwards to support Angie and help her out financially in spite of her appearing to be so vindictive."

The outlet claimed that when the former couple bought Miraval in 2008, Pitt took a 60% stake in the winemaking business and estate. The "Maleficent" star, on the other hand, took 40%. Sources also said that the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" star had been consistent in paying the expenses for their children. He had reportedly spent over $1.3 million on child support, including therapy and hundreds of thousands in sundry bills.
Another anonymous source claimed that Jolie secretly recorded Pitt to allegedly "get back at him." She was reportedly willing to use the videos to expose his alleged bad behavior.
Enstarz could not independently verify the claims.
