Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ Exercise Routine Revealed; ‘Tailored’ Workout Will Make People ‘Throw Up’
Taylor Swift's fitness trainer has revealed the singer's exercise routine for her world tour.
Kirk Myers, Swift's trainer for almost a decade now and the founder of Dogpound Gym in New York and Los Angeles, revealed in an exclusive interview with Vogue that the multi-Grammy-awarded singer's exercise routine "is really hard."
"I want you to come by and try the Taylor routine soon. Though it's really hard, some people would probably throw up or have to lay down on the floor if they trained like her," he told his interviewer Margaux Anbouba over Zoom.
According to Myers, the "Tortured Poets Department" artist's workout routine -- focused on "strength, conditioning and core" -- is "tailored."
"We approached her training for 'The Eras Tour' with the mindset like a professional athlete. There was an 'off-season' when she wasn't touring and 'in-season' when she was," he revealed.
"When she's not touring, we're in the gym up to six days a week for sometimes two hours a day."
The gym founder added that Taylor trains twice a week while on her tour for her "stability, mobility and biomechanics."
"If you've seen the show, you know how intense it is physically. Imagine doing that three, four days in a row and then you finally have a few days off and you're still showing up to the gym. That's Taylor," he said, highlighting the singer's "incredible work ethic."
Myers shared that the "Midnights" artist does not only spend time at Dogpound for "strength and conditioning." On her own, she does cardio exercises, too.
Because of this, he thinks "Taylor is the most resilient person" he has ever met.
"It's super-inspiring to see her consistently overcome obstacles and become better and stronger in the end. This also translates into her training and throughout her workouts," he said.
"I give her a difficult exercise or challenging workout, not only is she able to complete and push through it-but she also perseveres, moving forward into the next exercise. This ultimately makes her stronger, better and faster."
The new billionaire previously talked about Myers' gym, Dogpound, in her interview with Time as Person of the Year in December 2023.
She said the gym created a program for her, "incorporating strength, conditioning and weights."
Six months before the first show of her tour, she also trained hard while practicing her songs.
"Every day, I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud. Fast for fast songs, and a jog or fast walk for slow songs," she revealed.
Swift's ongoing sixth concert tour commenced on March 2023 at Glendale, Arizona. It is scheduled to end in Canada this December.
After holding successful shows in Singapore in March, the singer took a short tour break before she resumes her tour in Portugal next month.
