Geeking Out hosted multi-talented Meg Chizek for episode 7.

Geeking Out breaks out of it's Zoom-room as host Carly Polistina goes in-person to interview the incredible Meg Chizek. Chizek is a multi-talented performer. After spending years as a professional dancer and then sashaying into the world of producing and stand-up comedy, she has made a name for herself as a magnetic force and supporter of voices in the arts world.

On Sunday, Chizek will debut her solo show on-stage, titled How to Give Up on Your Dreams. It's a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of her life as a dancer and her journey to changing course. The show will be performed at the well-beloved Lower East Side venue Caveat on April 28th at 5PM.

This New York City performance comes just a few short months before the show takes on it's next life at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

On Geeking Out, Meg talks about her love of musical theatre — a world adjacent to dance but decidedly different. The performer delves into her love of the art form, relating deeply to the self-searching energy of most characters. As a shared interest between both interviewer and interviewee, the conversation flows with a razzle dazzle that only two tried and true theater kids could bring to the table.
