On Friday, Swift stirred up buzz with the surprise addition of a reported diss track aimed at Kardashian, titled, "thanK you aIMee." The track was added to Swift's expanded version of her 11th studio album.
"All that time you were throwin' punches, I was buildin' somethin' / And I can't forgive the way you made me feel," Swift, 34, sang on the song, which notably only capitalizes the letters "KIM" in its title. "Screamed, 'F**k you, Aimee' to the night sky, as the blood was gushin' / But I can't forget the way you made me heal."
Insights into Swift's family dynamics emerged as the pop star shared details about her mother Andrea Swift's response to the ongoing feud with the SKIMS founder.
"Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman / But she used to say she wished that you were dead," Swift sang.
Swift subtly shaded Kardashian, 43, by implying that the reality star's daughter, North West, 10, might one day sing the song aimed at her mother.
A source told 'Life & Style' magazine how the mother of four is feeling following the diss track's release. “Kim probably does have regrets about lying about the editing of the now famous video, but it’s fair to say that she was caught up in the whole Kanye [West] aspect of it,” the source claimed. "She was basically protecting her man. I’m sure Kim could clear up what really happened, and why she did what she did, but I don’t think she wants to revisit that particular situation."
They continued: "It would just open up a whole new can of worms and she’s truly moved on.”
In 2016, the feud between Kardashian and Swift reached its peak when Kanye West, Kardashian's then-husband, included controversial lyrics about Swift in his song "Famous." These lyrics, which implied West's role in Swift's fame, ignited a public dispute. The pop singer initially denied having prior knowledge of the lyrics, leading to a public disagreement between the two celebrities.
