Liuzzo's remains were repatriated to his hometown of Long Island, New York, where a funeral service took place on February 16, according to The U.S. Sun.

As of now, there has been no statement from Beatrice regarding Liuzzo's death.

Beatrice, 35, is the daughter of Prince Andrew and his former spouse, Sarah Ferguson. The princess and Liuzzo's relationship began in 2005 when Beatrice was 17 and Liuzzo was 24. Despite the age difference, Ferguson expressed her support for their romance, emphasizing Beatrice's maturity and broad circle of friends.

"We all have our own journeys and have to learn our way but Beatrice is a sensible girl, soon to be 18, with many friends, including Paolo," she said.

Their romantic relationship lasted less than a year, concluding in 2006.

Before his involvement with Beatrice, Liuzzo reportedly faced legal issues stemming from an altercation with fellow student Jonathan R. Duchatellier at the College of the Holy Cross. He was charged with manslaughter, which was later amended to assault and battery. Liuzzo was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service.

In 2009, Liuzzo attracted attention once more following a car accident in Australia's Gold Coast.

Beatrice, on the other hand, moved forward and married entrepreneur Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in July 2020. Their family expanded with the arrival of daughter, Sienna, in September 2021. The princess also embraced the role of stepmother to Mozzi's son, Christopher Woolf, from his previous relationship with Dara Huang.
