The teenage daughter of a former tech CEO was reported missing after they reportedly ran away from the family home on Sunday night in Marin County, per NBC Bay Area.

Mint Butterfield was last seen at 10 p.m. on Sunday in Bolinas. Butterfield was reported missing at 8:30 a.m. Monday, per Deputy Jose Suarez of Marin County Sheriff's Office.

Mint, 16, the daughter of the former Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield, is about 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has brown-reddish curly hair, and pierced eyebrows, the deputy explained.

The teenager was last seen in a black sweatshirt, flannel pajama pants, and black boots. According to Suarez, she may be traveling with a gray suitcase.

According to the New York Daily News, a search is in progress for the billionaire's daughter, who uses they/them pronouns, and is "believed to be in the Tenderloin" district of San Francisco — notorious for drug use and homelessness.

Per the news outlet, the teen was known to frequent that area in the past prior to their disappearance. Mint's mother, Caterina Fake, was shocked to find the teen hadn't returned home and immediately reported her missing the same morning.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children states that adolescents may be experiencing abuse, mental health difficulties, lack of understanding and acceptance, or a host of other risk factors at home.

Anyone with information regarding Mint's whereabouts should contact the Marin County Sheriff's Office.

Mint's father, Daniel Stewart Butterfield, is a Canadian billionaire businessman. The 51-year-old is best known for co-founding the photo-sharing website Flickr and the team-messaging application Slack.
