Diddy Files Motion To Have A 1991 Lawsuit Dismissed Where He Was Accused Of Drugging And Videotaping A Sexual Assault
After sexual assault allegations, being raided by homeland security, and facing public scrutiny, Sean "Diddy" Combs is clapping back.
On Friday, attorneys on Diddy's team filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit stemming back to 1991. The suit, filed by Joi Dickerson-Neal, accuses the rap icon of "intentionally" drugging and sexually assaulting her as a then-college student.
Court TV obtained documents filed by Dickerson-Neal, who claims she went to dinner with the Bad Boy Records founder in January 1991. According to NEWS-5, the lawsuit additionally claims that the alleged attack was videotaped.

"Days later, a male friend revealed to her that he had viewed the 'sex tape' along with other men. Horrified, [the victim] asked how many others saw it, to which he responded, 'Everyone,' " the filing claimed, per the news outlet.
Documents allege the 54-year-old rapper distributed the tape to others in the industry, reportedly causing "severe harm to Ms. Dickerson-Neal's reputation, career prospects, and emotional well-being." The plaintiff demands a trial by jury, per USA Today.
"During their date, Combs had intentionally drugged [Dickerson-Neal], resulting in her being in a physical state where she could not independently stand or walk," the suit alleges.
After the two went to a music studio, he allegedly took her to his place, which is where the alleged sexual assault took place.

Diddy's legal team is fighting for her claims to be tossed, citing that the lawsuit was brought under laws that didn't exist and against companies which were not created during the time of the alleged incident.
Dickerson-Neal filed the complaint in November with the Manhattan Supreme Court, just one day before the expiration of the New York State Adult Survivors Act, claiming to be a victim of "revenge porn."
Diddy's attorney Jonathan D. Davis maintains that ASA does not allow Dickerson-Neal to "revive claims under statutes that did not exist."
The New York State Adult Survivors Act (ASA), originally went into effect in November 2022, allowing adult victims of sexual abuse to pursue time barred claims in a court of law. Survivors have until November 23, 2024, to file a claim under the act.
Sean "Diddy" Combs denied all allegations made against him and remains innocent until proven guilty.
