Bethenny Frankel Divorce: Talk Show Host Claims She's Feeling 'Bruised' by Jason Hoppy, Custody Battle
Bethenny Frankel is trying to put on a brave face in the public, despite facing a bitter custody battle with her estranged husband Jason Hoppy. The talk show host and former reality star admits that she's feeling "bruised."
"I'm going through a brutal, brutal time," Frankel revealed in an interview with ABC's Nightline, about the toll the divorce is taking on her.
"It really, really is. I mean, there's no other way to slice it."
Frankel ended her almost three-year marriage in December. In court, the pair have been locked in a custody battle for several weeks now and have both requested primary custody of their 3-year-old daughter Bryn. While there is an iron-clad prenup in place regarding Frankel's reported $100 million fortune, Hoppy is currently seeking child support and primary custody of Bryn.

Frankel, who will launch her new talk show on Sept. 9, admitted she felt like a failure to her fans when she ended her marriage.
"I could have stayed on the show and been like, 'Oh everything's perfect with us. Everything's great,' " she said. "It made me feel dirty for people to think that I had this perfect relationship and this perfect life."
There has been plenty of rumored drama brewing between Frankel and her estranged husband. According to InTouch Weekly, Hoppy allegedly wrote in official court documents that Frankel is too focused on her career and unable to give her full attention to their daughter, Bryn.
"His court papers say that when Bethenny's team was watching her, Bryn locked herself in a bathroom on set. Firemen had to break down the door. Bryn wound up crying hysterically in a corner," the insider said.
The couple, who called off their nearly two-and-half year marriage in Janaury, continue to cohabitate in their 3,400-square-foot Tribeca loft.
