Tiffany Haddish Wanted Henry Cavill Until She Met The 'Awkward' 'Superman' Star: 'Maybe He's Just Never Had A Black Woman'
Tiffany Haddish got candid about relationships and her sexual exploits in a recent interview.
The "Girls Trip" actress sat down for an interview with the Los Angeles Times ahead of the release of her new book, "I Curse You With Joy." During the chat, she mentioned her new policy when it comes to dating -- nine months and she's out. She also disclosed the popular men she wanted to sleep with, including Henry Cavill, but things changed after she met them.
"All the famous guys I used to think, 'Oh, I would love to do it to him,' I know them now, and I'm like, 'No,'" Haddish shared. "I used to really want Henry Cavill. I think he's so hot. But I met him, and he was so awkward. It was like, 'This would be weird. I should be talking to him about 'Dungeons & Dragons.' Maybe he'd be more comfortable.'"

She added, "Or maybe he's just never had a Black woman be like, 'What's up? What's your credit score? Do you like spaghetti? I'll cook for you. Are you afraid of South Central or not?' But he's still beautiful."
The comedian also got candid about the struggles she experienced in life, from homelessness, domestic violence, rape and miscarriage. Haddish grew up in a neighborhood considered to be a gang territory. She used to hang out in a park infamous for drive-by shootings and filled with police.
When she was 13, she witnessed a friend among her group of pals beaten to death. At 17, she was also raped by a police cadet on the night of her homecoming.
Haddish became emotional and explained how that experience moved her to think of sex as something that would empower her. She thought in her own volition that if she were the pursuer, she would be taking something from men.
"But I was hurting myself the whole damn time," she said. "You're really just kind of raping yourself. You're giving up a piece of your spirit. I feel different, a little less, every time."
Haddish's second book after her 2017 "The Last Black Unicorn" is a collection of essays and stories. The upcoming publication is reportedly more raw than her first one.
"I'm so excited to share the rollercoaster of success that I've been on with my readers, and to show them that just because I'm famous, that doesn't mean I'm not human," Haddish told People about her new book. "I find the joy in the hardest things in life which you'll all be able to read about in this new book."
"I Curse You With Joy" will be published on May 7.
