King Charles and Prince Harry will not see each other in the United Kingdom, and this could be due to the latter's demands, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex is in England for a special church service to celebrate the Invictus Games' 10th anniversary. Prince Harry will attend the service at St. Paul's Cathedral. He took the flight alone as his wife, Meghan Markle, decided not to join him.

Prince Harry's spokesperson recently confirmed that he would not be meeting His Majesty during the trip. However, according to Charlotte Griffiths, Mail on Sunday's editor at large, the father and son's meeting probably didn't happen because of Prince Harry's demands.

"There is some talk that behind the scenes, a lot of negotiating went on," Griffiths told Patrick Christys when she appeared on GB News. "I think the reason was because Harry made certain demands about who could be in the room and who couldn't. Although on the surface it looks like a snub, Harry made it very difficult for his father."

When asked to elaborate on the alleged "certain demands" that Prince Harry might have asked, she said that "other forces" could have prompted the King to make the decision, including the influence of his eldest son, Prince William.

"Maybe other forces were driving Charles's position on this," she added. "William may have had a thought about how this meeting should be conducted or whether it should be conducted at all."

She noted that King Charles wanted to meet his son with his wife, Queen Camilla, in the same room. However, this was not a "popular decision."

"Harry was without his wife as well, so this was fraught with difficulty," Griffiths added.

There were also claims that Queen Camilla wanted her stepson to "follow certain rules" if he would meet the monarch. However, Prince Harry's biographer, Angela Levin, also claimed that Queen Camilla didn't want Prince Harry to meet King Charles alone because she didn't trust him, so she "will not let Harry talk alone to his father."

Prince Harry's spokesperson released a statement on Tuesday to stop the speculations about whether he would see his father while he was in the United Kingdom. Prince Harry's rep confirmed that they would not meet each other because His Majesty was busy.

"In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty's full program," Prince Harry's spokesperson said. "The duke, of course, is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
