Selena Gomez Overshadows Justin Bieber, Hailey Pregnancy Reveal; Trends Worldwide After Posting Benny Blanco Photo
Selena Gomez is showing "main character" energy, according to fans, after trending on social media amid her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber's pregnancy announcement.
Shortly after the Biebers revealed via Instagram Thursday that they are expecting their first child together, Gomez flaunted her romance and happiness with Benny Blanco.
The "Hands to Myself" hitmaker shared on her Instagram Stories a sweet black-and-white snap of her and the music producer holding hands.
Gomez also posted photos and images promoting her new cooking show "Selena + Restaurant," which aired its latest episode on the Food Network and Max Thursday night.

The singer-actress also uploaded a group picture with Blanco and her "Only Murders in the Building" co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
The snap also featured Steven Spielberg, Judd Apatow and Eugene Levy, among others.
Gomez's name quickly became a trending topic on X, formerly Twitter, Thursday, with some claiming that the pop star was overshadowing her ex-boyfriend's baby news.

"She trended at their engagement, during their wedding, and now at their pregnancy. Selena Gomez will ALWAYS be the main topic," one X user claimed.
"Congrats Selena Gomez for being the main character in Justin and Hailey's marriage and pregnancy announcement," another wrote.
One fan tweeted: "Selena, you will always be that girl I fear making noise without lifting a finger."

Some users also alluded to the alleged "feud" between Gomez and Hailey.
"Someone call an ambulance for that woman because all everyone cares for is Selena's reaction instead of her announcement," an X user claimed.
Gomez previously dated Justin on and off for eight years before they split for good in May 2018.
The "Love Yourself" hitmaker quickly moved on with Hailey, with whom he tied the knot in September 2018, just two months after getting engaged.
Since then, Gomez and Hailey have been pitted against each other, though they have both denied the drama speculation and posed for photos together at events to show there is no bad blood between them.

On Thursday, Hailey shared a video showing her and Justin renewing their vows in an intimate ceremony.
The model, who looked stunning in a long, lacy white dress and a veil, exchanged a sweet kiss with her husband in the footage.
The video also revealed Hailey's growing bump.
Her rep later told People that the Rhode founder is more than six months along in her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Gomez has been showing off her relationship with Blanco on social media since they went public in December 2023.
On Valentine's Day, she professed her love to the music producer via Instagram Stories as she shared a photo of them sticking their tongues out at the camera.
A few days earlier, Gomez posted a picture of them packing on the PDA and cuddling up in the kitchen.
