Meghan Markle Asks 'See Why I'm Married To Him?' After Prince Harry Says This Heartwarming Comment About Mental Health
Meghan Markle recently opened up about why she married her husband of nearly six years Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited to Nigeria as an honor by the country's chief of defense staff, its highest ranking military official. Per reports, the Nigerian Defense Headquarters were "honored" and "delighted" that the duo accepted their invitation.
According to the 'New York Post', Harry struck up a friendship with General Christopher Musa during the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Harry, 39, reunited with his wife in Abuja, Nigeria, after departing from London, where he celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games — a competitive sporting event he founded to benefit the physical and mental well being of current and former servicemen and women.
Their three-day trip started with a visit to Lightway Academy, a school that receives support from their Archwell Foundation, a non-profit created by the Duke and Duchess to uplift communities through acts of service and compassion.
According to the Daily Beast, the royal couple were greeted at the school by dancers in addition to some of the youngest students at the school, taking time to discuss the importance of mental health.
"Every single person in this room, the youngest, the oldest, every single person has mental health. So therefore, you have to look after yourself to be able to look after other people," Harry said. He also mentioned that there's "no shame" in having a bad day.
"You see why I'm married to him?" Meghan responded, acknowledging his belief system. Markle, 42, also spoke about her own children, saying Lilibet recently made the remark that she sees her own reflection in her mother's eyes.
"I see me in you," the princess said to her mother per the media outlet. "As I look around this room, I see myself in all of you as well," Markle stated.
