Hailey Bieber’s Previous Statement About Hiding Pregnancy Resurfaces After Baby Announcement
Hailey and Justin Bieber surprised many fans when they made their baby announcement recently, but the mom-to-be had already hinted that she would not share her pregnancy news with the world right away.
According to sources, the Rhode founder is already six months along, suggesting she's nearing her third trimester and due to deliver baby Bieber in August. Reacting to the surprising baby announcement, one TikTok content creator recalled Hailey's previous statement about denying pregnancy rumors.
"I do find this ironic because if you guys remember, Hailey was shooting down the pregnancy rumors like a little over six months ago," TikTok user Stepanie Tleiji said. "She had done a GQ interview in October of 2023, or if she was a little over six months, she may have been pregnant during this interview, or she might not have been, and it's all just how coincidence works out."
Tleiji shared Hailey's statement denying the pregnancy rumors. She even included a quote from Hailey from the same interview, where the model said the internet would be the last to know if she would get pregnant.
"So, Hailey was not lying when she said the internet would be the last to know, seeing as how she may allegedly be over six months pregnant," Tleiji continued.
"I could not blame Hailey at all for trying to keep this as a secret as long as possible, especially from the internet."
Hailey graced the 2023 GQ Hype Cover Story, where she opened up about her journey to stardom. In the interview, she mentioned the gossip she heard, including rumors about her pregnancy, which she clearly disapproved of.
"Recently, everybody was like, 'Oh, my God, she's pregnant,' and that's happened to me multiple times before," Hailey said.
"There is something that's disheartening about, Damn, I can't be bloated one time and not be pregnant? It would be a lie if I was like, 'Oh, yeah, I don't give a s**t.'"
She added, "When there comes a day that that is true, you -- you, as in the internet, will be the last to know."
In the same interview, Hailey -- one of the two daughters of American actor and film producer Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Baldwin -- said she wanted to raise her kids out of the spotlight. She also admitted that she was looking forward to being a mom.
"[Motherhood] is something that I look forward to. It's also such a private, intimate thing," Hailey shared. "It's something that's going to come when it comes. And it's just, honestly, at the end of the day, so hilarious how much people f*****g care. Let me do what I want to do with my body, and you guys can do what you want to do with your body -- and let's just let it be that."
