Demi Lovato was photographed sitting next to her good friend Nick Jonas at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday but her ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas, sat behind them and decided to photobomb their picture.

As Lovato and Nick smiled for the camera, Joe made a silly face in the background. The singer then uploaded the comical shot on Instagram.

"Just like old times. #TCA," Joe wrote as the photo's caption.

Joe and Lovato dated briefly in 2010, but after the breakup they weren't on good terms. Lovato told ABC's Nightline News in May, "We were in a relationship and we broke up, and at one point, I was really mad at him."

Three years later, however, the two stars are in a better place. Their amicable relationship was displayed when the Jonas Brothers visited Bravo's Watch What Happens Live in July. The show's host, Andy Cohen, asked the 23-year-old singer to rank former Disney stars, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez in the order of favorite to least favorite. After Joe pondered his answer for a few seconds, he revealed that his top choice is his ex-girlfriend.

"Me and her are very cool now, so favorite, Demi," he said.

Lovato can also attest to the statement.

"Now, I can, fortunately, say, that [Joe], and his brother Nick [Jonas], have always been there for me, and are literally family, and like brothers," she told ABC's Nightline News in May. "We have a great friendship. And we may not be as close as we used to be, but that's ok."

The 20-year-old also previously explained that Nick is someone she can rely on during her hardest moments.

"He's always been there for me as well," she told Televisionet.Tv in a June interview.

The singer referred to her stint in rehab, which she entered at the age of 18.
