DJ Akademiks Sued For Rape, Assault And Defamation, Promises To Take Down 'Everyone In The Industry' If Found Guilty
Internet personality DJ Akademiks is embroiled in a legal battle as he confronts allegations of rape, sexual assault, and defamation in a lawsuit filed by Fauziya "Ziya" Abashe.
'Rolling Stone' reports Abashe claimed Akademiks, real name Livingston Allen, sexually assaulted her in 2022 along with two other individuals.
According to the outlet, Abashe first connected with the music blogger in 2021 through online channels. They began a romantic relationship shortly thereafter.
The lawsuit claims Abashe received an invitation to his New Jersey residence on July 16, 2022. Despite nearly a year passing since their last meeting, she harbored no suspicions of "ill intentions" from the DJ.
She described an unforeseen encounter with two unfamiliar men, called John Doe 1 and John Doe 2, upon her arrival. She alleged that they persistently encouraged her to consume alcohol, administered drugs, and then proceeded to assault and rape her on Akademiks' deck.
Abashe alleged that the drugs affected her memory and consciousness. On July 17, 2022, at around 4 a.m., she awoke to find herself in Akademiks' bedroom. Abashe, a self-proclaimed fashion model on Instagram, alleged that Akademiks was "pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her."
The lawsuit claims Akademiks penetrated her anally and vaginally despite her desperate pleas to stop.

Abashe reportedly decided against filing charges or publicly addressing the accusations, but later reconsidered following Akademiks' alleged defamation of her on social media in 2023.
"I can't talk about too much because I've paid lawyers to handle s**t in court," the 32-year-old said during a stream on his Rumble channel on Monday. "These people who are coming at me are hoping that I f**k that up by handling it on social media. The police wants nothing to do with this. They're saying there is no crime."
The media personality promised to expose "the industry" if he was convicted.
"Let me tell you this about everyone in the industry: if Ak ever goes down, y'all going down with me," he said. "'Cause I hold no secrets for nobody."
