69-Year-Old Gayle King Covers ‘Sports Illustrated’ In Hot One-Piece: ‘Sexy Isn’t An Age’
Body positivity celebrates another win!
Gayle King made a stellar appearance in the SI Swimsuit 2024 issue of 'Sports Illustrated' magazine.
The 69-year-old was even more shocked when she found out she was the magazine's cover star, admitting she "never thought" she'd be flaunting a bathing suit for the legendary publication. "This was nowhere on my bucket list!" King exclaimed.
The TV presenter flaunted several sun-soaking one-pieces, including a printed style with a matching coverup, a lemon yellow suit with a deep V-neck, a pleated white halter style piece, and vibrant orange and neon green suits.

On Tuesday, model and actress Kate Upton, who also graced the 'SI' cover, presented the shocked host with a physical copy of her issue during an episode of 'CBS Mornings,' which King has co-anchored since January of 2012.
"I'm on the cover?!" King, 69, exclaimed, holding herself in excitement. "This is gonna be on the newsstand?! Oh my God!"
Hunter McGrady, who also made a version of the cover, spoke with the fellow models about this year's special 60th anniversary issue. Radiating in King's excitement, she chimed in: "It goes to say, sexy isn't an age, sexy isn't a size."
"Look how beautiful you look," McGrady, 31, said. "That's so inspiring to women of all ages... like, yes girl you did that. You did it."
King was celebrated by Oprah Daily's Instagram account, which featured exclusive behind the scenes content of her BFF of nearly 47 years accomplishing a "dream" she never would have thought was possible.
"I never in a million years thought I would be standing here... in a bathing suit for 'Sports Illustrated,' but here I am. Which says to me, that sometimes people can dream, God can dream, the universe can dream a bigger dream than you can ever think for yourself," she said.
"So I'm thinking maybe it was a dream I didn't even know I wanted," she said. "Because now that I'm here — I want it bad."
