Barron Trump has been drawing attention recently for his physical resemblance to his father, Donald Trump, but when it comes to personality, it seems he's taking after his mother, Melania Trump.

Before he turned 18 in March, Melania largely kept her only child away from the spotlight, and not much was known about Barron.

However, as the 2024 presidential race heats up, new photos of Barron and insights into the teen's personality and interests have surfaced in recent weeks as he ramped up appearances alongside the former president.

According to one such revelation, Barron is a mini-me of the former model and first lady, who has said that she's a hands-on mother to her son.

"He's so regal. He's a little Melania," an unnamed insider close to the Trump couple recently told the Daily Mail.

Melania -- who has largely steered clear of the campaign trail since Trump launched his third bid for the White House -- has been busy helping her son as he gears up for his high school graduation and the start of his college journey.

Trump recently shared that Barron has yet to choose the college he plans to attend and that they found new options for schools over the past two months.

"Right now, he's doing a great job," Trump said at Mar-a-Lago last week, according to the Daily Beast. "He has great marks."

"He's going to be going to college soon. And we're looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago," the GOP 2024 presidential candidate added.

Trump previously opened up about Barron's college plans during an interview with Megyn Kelly last year.

The former president shared that they were "looking at" the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania -- where Trump and three of Barron's older half-siblings graduated from -- as a possibility for the teen.

Unnamed insiders also told the Daily Beast last month that New York University was among Barron's top choices.

Before he heads off to college, however, Barron is set to attend his graduation ceremony at Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday.

Barron's graduation made the headlines last month after his father complained about potentially missing it due to his ongoing criminal hush-money trial.

The presiding judge later ruled that court would be adjourned on May 17 so that Trump can be at the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Barron was recently chosen as an at-large delegate to represent Florida at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July.

However, shortly after the announcement of the delegates, Melania's office announced that her son was declining the role, which would have marked his political debut.

It is unclear exactly why Barron chose not to participate in the convention alongside three of his half-siblings who will serve as delegates, though his mother said he has "prior commitments."

In a statement to People last week, the Office of Melania Trump said, "While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments."
