Joe Biden Accepts Invitation To Debate A Fired Up Donald Trump: ‘Let’s Get Ready To Rumble!!!’
President Joe Biden has accepted an invitation from CNN to debate Republican candidate Donald Trump in June.
CNN has reported that former President Trump has also accepted the call, leading to a debate which has the potential to set the political tone for the upcoming 2024 campaign.
Biden, 81, took to Twitter, now known as X, to publicly accept the challenge.
"I've received and accepted an invitation from @CNN for a debate on June 27th. Over to you, Donald. As you said: 'anywhere, any time, any place,' " he wrote.

CNN's Kaitlan Collins, who has covered presidential news since 2017, also confirmed via X that Trump, 77, has agreed to participate. "The answer is yes, I will accept," he said per the journalist.
The debate, set for June 27, will take place in the sunny state of Georgia, which is also seen as a key swing state for the election. CNN has confirmed there will not be an audience present.
The event will be moderated by 'The Lead' news anchor Jake Tapper and 'Inside Politics' news anchor Dana Bash.
Known for his seemingly competitive nature, Donald Trump took to his own app, TruthSocial, to challenge "Crooked Joe Biden" to a third debate with Fox News; however, Biden's campaign chairwoman, Jen O' Malley Dillon, wants to stick to the terms.
"Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that I hereby accept debating Crooked Joe Biden on FoxNews. The date will be Wednesday, October 2nd. The Hosts will be Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. Thank you, DJT!" Trump wrote.
In response to the proposal of a third debate, chairwoman Dillon claimed the presidential opponent "made his terms clear for two one-on-one debates, and Donald Trump accepted those terms."
The morning of May 15, a fired up Trump called Biden "the WORST debater" he has ever faced on TruthSocial, accusing the president of not being able to "put two sentences together!" He also stated that it's time Biden "explain to the American people" his highly destructive policies.
"Just tell me when I'll be there. "Let's get ready to Rumble!!!" he concluded.
The declaration of the aforementioned debates smashes long standing political traditions, which typically include scheduled timings, set dates, and locations, stemming back to the 1960's.
Per the news outlet, on Wednesday, both candidates agreed to participate in a second debate, which was offered to them by ABC, scheduled to take place on September 10.
