Cedric The Entertainer Revives Katt Williams Beef Over Alleged ‘Stolen Joke:’ ‘You Seen Me 45 Times, Bro’
Cedric the Entertainer has reignited old beef when clearing the air on Katt Williams' claim that he's a "joke thief."
The internet was in a frenzy after Williams' tell-all interview with Shannon Sharpe on YouTube's 'Club Shay Shay,' where he alleged that Cedric the Entertainer stole his joke after he saw it in 2019, and then "did it on the 'Kings of Comedy.' "
During 'Big Boy's Neighborhood' radio show, Big Boy asked the comedian if he was "just as surprised" as the audience to hear Williams' claims, to which he responds that he "woke up the next day to the energy."

The Missouri native, born Cedric Antonio Kyles, stated that despite people asking how he felt about the interview, he doesn't use social media much and maintained that he was "not moved by it," saying they'd had the conversation before. "I responded to him about the joke and then he responded back, and that was that," Cedric, 60, explained.
"For me, to bring that up... something that's like 30 years old and you tryna make this accusation... and you had seen me in person — you done seen me 45 times, bro, like c'mon man, like stop that. What is that about? It felt like the internet to me," "The Neighbrhood" actor said. "I been doin' this for almost 40 years, I do what I do. I get what you're saying — the similarities or whatever, but that's not the same joke, and it's not the same reason why I got to the joke."
"And then for people to understand too, just because somebody did it on TV don't mean that they did it first, either," he clarified.
Despite 'The Barbershop 2' star maintaining his authenticity, Williams, 52, begged to differ in his 'Club Shay Shay' interview back in January, giving pushback to the entertainer who has said in the past that his claims "don't line up."
"What doesn't line up? This is a televised joke that [comedian] Mark Curry helped me punch up and get to the level that it was," the 'Friday After Next' star told Sharpe.
