A judge has ordered Food Network chef Madison Cowan to vacate his Brooklyn apartment.

The celebrity chef is well known for his culinary skills, participating in shows including 'Iron Chef' and 'Chopped,' coming out the competition as champion on both TV series. Cowan has even cooked for celebrities, per ABC-7 News.

The news outlet reported that Cowan's landlord alleged the celebrity cook hasn't paid rent on his Boerum Hill apartment since January 2020 yet refuses to vacate the premises.

The chef, who's no stranger to running the kitchen, used that same agility to dodge cameras per ABC, allegedly racing down five flights of stairs to avoid confrontation regarding his failure to pay rent in nearly 4 years.

The British-born foodie has managed to escape eviction more than once. Just last week, marshals attempted to evict him yet again; however, Cowan had filed another appeal insisting he simply couldn't afford to pay.

Cowan claimed that his livelihood was "seriously impacted by the pandemic" and that now the publicity surrounding his inability to pay has worsened the dispute. "I couldn't get a job," he reportedly told the judge. "It all went away."

With that said, the court reportedly still held up on their promise to evict. Expert in housing law Attorney Chad Karp claimed that if a tenant doesn't care about their credit or being removed, a landlord must be prepared to endure the tenant.

"If someone doesn't care about their credit, if someone doesn't care about physically being thrown out, it'll take two years. It can take longer — a landlord has to be prepared to endure that type of tenant," Karp said.

Per the news outlet, Cowan has two weeks to voluntarily move out or he will once again face eviction. His landlord claimed "he won't believe it" till Cowan is gone.
