Adele Praises Sabrina Carpenter's 'Espresso'; Sings It During Las Vegas Residency
Adele shared during a show that one of her new favorite songs is by Sabrina Carpenter.
On Saturday, the 36-year-old singer performed "Weekends with Adele" at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and talked about how out of sync her body clock was after switching back to the Las Vegas time zone following her vocal rest.
Adele told her audience that Carpenter's song "Espresso" became her "jam" during her break.

"I nearly pissed myself because my whole body clock was out of sync. So being on stage at 11:30, I was desperate for a pee. But I'm always, you know, [going] back to the hotel, in the hotel, whatever, by, sort of like, 11:10 at the latest. And then I have to warm my voice down, then I have a steam shower and things like that," she said.
"As I got into bed last night -- 'cause that's a very late night for me, normally I'm in bed by 9 p.m. -- I found myself singing, 'I'm working late, 'cause I'm a singer.' That Sabrina Carpenter song! 'I can't relate to desperation.' That song is my jam!"
The "Easy On Me" singer then proceeded to give nothing but good words for the 25-year-old artist's hit song, saying she's been singing it a lot lately.
"It came out when I couldn't talk or sing, so since my voice has come back, all last night and this morning that's what I've been singing," she said. "From tomorrow, it will be like, 'I'm sleeping late 'cause I'm a singer,' because that's what I'm gonna do tomorrow."
The "Espresso" singer quickly reacted on X, formerly Twitter, to Adele talking about her song at her show, saying, "All I read was Adele thinks about me in bed." Her tweet received positive reactions, as many found it funny.
"I love Sabrina. She's so funny," one netizen commented.
"I'm obsessed with her humor," wrote another one.
"The most unhinged woman on the planet award goes to her," quipped someone else.
Interestingly, the same night the British singer talked about "Espresso" on stage, Carpenter performed the song on "Saturday Night Live!"
Last week, her song emerged at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart with 59.6 million streams.
