Terry Crews Admits He Waited 10 Years To Reveal His Infidelity To His Wife: ‘I Was Lying The Whole Time'
Terry Crews told the world that it took him nearly 10 years to fess up to his wife he was unfaithful and how it almost destroyed their marriage.
During a throwback podcast episode of 'The Tim Ferriss Show,' the "Everybody Hates Chris" actor revealed that he "confessed" his infidelity, claiming he vowed to never tell anyone about the incident.
Per Atlanta Black Star, he detailed how his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, would consistently press him about her suspicion that he had done "something" recently and her persistence eventually simply wore him out.
"I confessed to an infidelity that happened 10 years earlier as a result of this addiction because I went to a massage parlor and got a hand job and I vowed I would never ever tell anybody," Crews, 55, explained. "It was the beginning of my career."
"I thought I'd never do something like that, but I vowed I would never tell. I was like, 'I'm taking this secret to the grave,' " he stated.
The father of four — who tied the knot with Rebecca, 58, in 1989 — admitted to a long-standing addiction to pornography. In 2018, the couple were guests on 'Dr. Phil' when Crews revealed he dabbled in prostitution.
"And again, I was lying the whole time and she could feel that. You can feel when your significant other is not telling you the truth. It was just, there was something she didn't know," he said. The former football player claimed that his wife immediately "felt it," demanding him not to come home.
"Tim, what's so crazy is that I was like, 'Fine, bye. Leave. I'm Terry Crews. I can get any woman I want. In fact, I will.' And you know what, this is a normal thing in Hollywood. Divorce is pretty normal, and it's not a big deal. In fact, my career won't suffer, and nobody cares if I lose my family. Hollywood certainly doesn't. And then I listened to myself talking like that."
Despite Rebecca's admission that it took her nearly three years to trust him again, the two have remained married and happily in love. Rebecca took to Instagram to tell the love of her life, "Baby, you're still the one," after 34 years.
The duo were college sweethearts and wed in July 1989. They celebrated over three decades of marriage with a lavish party at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. In addition to family and friends, celebrities including Olivia Munn, Stevie Wonder, and Chris Daughtry were in attendance.
The couple share five children; Naomi, 36, Azriel, 33, Tera, 25, Wynfrey, 21, and Isaiah, 18.
