'The Voice' Coach Christina Aguilera & Ex-Husband Jordan Bratman Have Beach Day wit Son Max [PHOTOS]
Christina Aguilera spent Sunday at the beach with her son Max and ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
The Voice coach wore jeans, a white tank top, flip-flops and a Pittsburgh Pirates cap. Bratman sported shorts and T-shirt. Five-year-old Max looked happy as he spent the day with his parents on the California beach. See a gallery of photos here.
Aguilera began dating Bratman when she 21 and the two married when she was 24. Their marriage lasted for nearly five years before they filed for divorce in 2010.
"When you're unhappy in a marriage, your children are the ones who suffer," she told People magazine soon after the divorce. "That's the last thing I wanted for my son."
During that 2010 interview she also explained that spending time with her ex-husband wasn't the easiest thing for her to do at the time.

"For Max's sake, we keep in communication and try to be as civil as possible, but there's some pain," she said. "There's discomfort when we're together. But I know in my heart we'll find some sort of ground where we'll eventually laugh together again and be okay for Max."
After her split Aguilera began dating Matthew Rutler, a set assistant from her 2010 film Burlesque. The two are still together, but the 32-year-old explained that her son is her number priority. He's also the reason she took a hiatus from The Voice during season 4.
"I'm a mom, when the cameras go off, I put on sweats and a t-shirt," she told reporters during the NBC sessions at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour in California, according to The Huffington Post. "I needed some time to do that. He starts kindergarten this fall, so I'm excited about that."
