Taken on September 5th, 2022, just three days before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the photograph captures a poignant moment in the couple's journey. Meghan, 42, and Harry, who relocated to California in 2020 following their decision to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family, visited Europe for a series of charitable engagements when news of the Queen's death broke on September 8th, 2022.

They further mentioned that the image will undergo their cataloging procedures before being made accessible on their website.
