Influencer's 2-Year-Old Son Dead After Drowning In Pool While Parents Slept
Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong shared the heartbreaking news that her 2-year-old son Enzo has died.
Enzo -- who was often featured on his mother's Instagram page -- passed away on May 17 after drowning in a swimming pool at a hotel, the influencer revealed in an Instagram post.
Jasmine wrote that the toddler left their hotel room while she and her husband, fellow influencer Lim Kong Wang, were asleep and fell into the indoor pool next to their room.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved baby Enzo's heartbeat stopped on 17/05/24, despite all efforts to provide him with adequate oxygen," Jasmine wrote alongside photos from what appeared to be a memorial service for the child.
"Our baby Enzo has now become a beautiful little angel, free from any pain or hardship," she told her 477,000 Instagram followers.
According to the beauty, fashion and lifestyle influencer, their family had checked into a hotel on May 11 to celebrate Mother's Day.
The following day, Jasmine, her husband, and their son decided to take a nap together on their hotel bed.
The toddler "cuddled up" next to his parents and fell asleep after drinking his milk, she shared.
But when the couple woke up, Enzo was no longer in the room.

Jasmine then noticed that the door leading to the indoor swimming pool, which had been locked, was now open.
She found Enzo unresponsive in the swimming pool.
According to Jasmine, she and her husband tried performing CPR, but the child did not respond. They also could not call for help due to the "poor network" in the hotel.
They ultimately rushed to the hotel lobby with their young son, and the hotel staff helped them call an ambulance and provide first aid until medical responders arrived.
Enzo was brought to the hospital, where his "heartbeat was restored, but he remained in a coma."
Jasmine wrote that their son "fought valiantly" until his heart stopped on May 17.
The influencer asked for privacy during this difficult time for her family, adding: "Let our precious baby Enzo rest in peace."
Jasmine first revealed Enzo's accident on May 16.
At the time, she did not share the details of the accident but told her Instagram followers that her son was fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.
Jasmine has continued to post about Enzo on Instagram since his death.
Earlier this week, she shared two videos of him at what appeared to be a daycare.
Prior to his passing, Enzo had amassed a considerable Instagram following of his own, having garnered 102,000 followers.
