Ryan Phillippe Calls Ex-Wife Reese Witherspoon 'Hot' In New Instagram Post Reminiscing 'Cooler Time'
Ryan Phillippe shared a throwback photo of him and his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon.
On Monday, the "Shooter" star took to Instagram Stories to share an old photo of him and Witherspoon posing together in matching stripe outfits in the '90s. In the photo, he was holding the "Legally Blonde" star's arm.
"We were hot and drenched in the late '90s angst @reesewitherspoon. (Such a cooler time than today.)," he captioned the photo.

The 49-year-old actor seemed to be in a reminiscing mood as he also posted an old photo of him in his mohawk hairstyle in another IG Story and captioned it with a rock-on emoji.
In the photo, he was wearing Ray Ban sunglasses and a suit matched with a violet necktie.
Ryan and Reese were once one of Hollywood's famous couples until they split after being married for seven years.
The "Cruel Intentions" co-stars had their first meeting not in the 1999 film but during Reese's 21st birthday party in 1997. Per E! News, Ryan crashed the party weeks before he got the script for the film they were starring in together.
"I crashed her party. I went with a friend because I knew there would be free food and drinks. I was just sitting back in the corner pounding away the drinks when somebody walked over and introduced Reese to me," he said in a 1999 interview.
Reese also talked about their first meeting in the November 1998 issue of Jane magazine, saying: "I met him at my 21st birthday party. I don't know what came over me -- maybe the seven Midori sours -- but I told him, 'I think you're my birthday present.'"
"He thought it was so flattering, and now that I think about it...how embarrassing!"
The young stars' meet-cute eventually led to marriage. The pair tied the knot in June 1999. Reese was just 23 at the time, while Ryan was 25.
They welcomed two children together, Ava Phillippe, now 24, and Deacon Phillippe, now 20. However, their marriage ended in divorce.
They announced their separation in October 2006 and finalized their divorce in 2008.
In a 2015 interview with Larry King, the "Catch Hell" actor opened up about his ex-wife and why he thought their marriage ended in divorce.
"I think more of the problem was age. You know, we got together so young," he told King, noting it was not a problem that they were in the same business.
At the time, while they had separated, he confirmed that they remained friends.
