Social Media Slams North West After ‘Nepo Baby’ Performance At Star-Studded ‘Lion King’ Concert
Social media is dragging Kim and Kanye's eldest daughter North West after her debut performance in the 30th anniversary concert of Disney's 'The Lion King.'
The star-studded two-day live event took place Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl in the heart of Los Angeles. North, 10, was invited as a cast member of the live-to-film concert event earlier this month, although her exact role was never announced publicly.
Despite receiving a standing ovation in the house, social media users were less than impressed by her performance, citing nepotism as the reason she was able to land the highly-coveted role.
TikTok user and mother lejennymatthews claims her child auditioned for the same role and was shocked to find that after narrowing auditions down to just three girls, North had landed the role without any theater experience.

"While we were waiting in the audition room with one other girl and her mother, someone walked in. It was Kim Kardashian with North West. We heard that there was someone that was in the industry pulling strings to get their daughter in front of the casting director," she alleged.
"We found out it was North West on that final audition," she claimed. While the social media user was disappointed, it seems a staggering amount of online users agree with her "disappointment" in the show's casting decision. "You were disappointed? I had to sit through it to listen to North West with everyone else," one user commented.

An agitated user on Twitter, now known as X, said they "question the credibility" of the casting director. "You let Kim pay to ruin your show," user RichieDinero wrote, which has since gained 4.3M views and over 100K likes.
On the bright side, 'SheKnows' reported that the SKIMS founder was celebrating "Miss Westie's" milestones, sharing some sweet behind-the-scenes content from her child's theater debut.
Per The Daily Mail, North is also dropping her first album as a tribute to her dad, Kanye West, called "Elementary School Drop Out," playing on the rapper's legendary studio album "The College Dropout" which released in 2004.
