Nick And Aaron Carter Alleged Misconduct Exposed In "Fallen Idols" Docuseries
An Investigation Discovery documentary series delved into a myriad of unsettling allegations surrounding the Backstreet Boys singer and his deceased sibling.
The premiere of "Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter" introduced its initial two episodes on Monday, revealing a plethora of unsettling narratives surrounding the Carter brothers and other members of the Carter clan.
The four-part miniseries features candid interviews with various individuals including friends, associates, relatives, and former partners acquainted with Nick and Aaron. Notable interviewees from the initial episodes include singer Kaya Jones, former MTV VJ Nick Holmes, music producer Bob Curiano, Carter cousin John Spaulding, family friend Jen, and Dream vocalist Melissa Schuman, who alleges that Nick assaulted her.
The first segment of the series explored Nick's alleged relationships with women.
Nick, 44, adamantly denies all accusations and questions the credibility of his accusers. He has launched a countersuit against at least two of them.
Despite his absence from the documentary, "Fallen Idols" sheds light on the unfolding drama surrounding the boy bander. In response to the allegations, Nick's attorney Dale Hayes, Jr. issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly vowing to fight back against what he deems as "outrageous claims."
Misconduct claims against Nick include Melissa Schuman allegedly feeling pressured to consider dating Nick by her team. She also alleged Nick assaulted her during the filming of a movie in 2003.
Another accuser, identified only as Ashley, claims Nick assaulted her on multiple occasions when she was 15. Kaya Jones alleges Nick was manipulative and made disturbing requests in their relationship. However, she failed to specify what the requests in question were.
Family members and friends also describe the home environment fostered by Nick and Aaron Carter's parents as dysfunctional.
The initial two episodes of "Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter" are available for streaming on Max. The third and fourth episodes will premiere on ID and Max on Tuesday, May 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
