A never-before-seen Prince William and Kate Middleton photo has been released as the Princess of Wales continues to remain out of the public eye amid her cancer treatment.

The unseen photo was shared on Facebook by Duffryn Mawr Country House, where Prince William and his wife stayed during a visit to Wales in April last year.

In the snap posted by the $1,000-a-night Airbnb, the Prince and Princess of Wales can be seen smiling as they posed with the country house's staff.

Duffryn Mawr's staff recalled Middleton and Prince William being "kind and friendly" during their stay there.

"It's been 1 year since we welcomed William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, to Duffryn Mawr!" the caption read.

It continued, "We were delighted to welcome William and Kate for a night here when they visited The Brecon Beacons. So kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them stay here."

Prince William and Princess Kate stayed at the country house while they were in Wales to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.

The royal couple met volunteers of the organization who help keep walkers and climbers on the nearby mountain range safe and participated in their training activities, as seen in videos shared by People's Simon Perry.

During their visit to their namesake country, the Prince and Princess of Wales also stopped by Little Dragon Pizza Van to grab some pizza and the Dowlais Rugby Club to chat with locals.

The visit was part of a busy year for Middleton before she underwent abdominal surgery in January and was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer.

Princess Kate's last official royal engagement before her diagnosis was in December 2023, when she joined the royal family for their annual walk to church at Sandringham on Christmas morning.

Middleton had not been seen publicly since late March when she released a video message announcing her diagnosis.

On Tuesday, People reported, citing unnamed insiders, that Middleton was recently seen running errands, though no photos or other details were provided.

While fans continued to speculate about the princess' health, Prince William has said during engagements that his wife is "doing well" amid her treatment.
