Kate Middleton has "turned a corner" with her cancer treatment since announcing her diagnosis two months ago, according to a new report.

Royal fans received few updates about the Princess of Wales' health since the release of a pre-recorded video in late March revealing that she was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer following her abdominal surgery and had begun undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy.

But an unnamed "family friend" told Vanity Fair this week that Middleton's treatment has been successful.

"It has been a great relief that she is tolerating the medication and is actually doing a lot better," the source said.

Middleton had her loved ones to lean on during what has been "a very challenging and worrying time" for the royal family.

According to the insider, the princess' husband Prince William, parents Michael and Carole Middleton, sister Pippa Middleton, and brother James Middleton have all "rallied around her" as she goes through chemotherapy.

But while Middleton is feeling better, it is still unknown when she will return to public duties.

"There is no timeline, and there is certainly no hurry. It will be when Catherine feels ready and when she gets the greenlight from her medical team," an unidentified "well-placed source" told the magazine.

The source also shut down previous reports that said Middleton likely won't do any royal engagements this year.

Middleton "will 100% be coming back to work, of that there is no question," the insider told the outlet.

There have been conflicting reports about the timeline of Middleton's return to work over the past few weeks.

The Daily Mail's Richard Eden recently cited unnamed friends of Princess Kate's as saying that the public "might not see" the royal again until fall.

Meanwhile, The Daily Beast reported, citing unnamed royal sources and pals of the Prince and Princess of Wales, that Middleton will probably "not appear in public for the rest of the year."

Middleton has not been photographed since her cancer announcement video.

Earlier this week, unnamed sources told Us Weekly and People that Princess Kate was recently seen out and about with her family, including her and Prince William's three children.

However, no photo or video of the sighting has surfaced, leading some royal fans to question the reports and continue speculating about Middleton's health and whereabouts.
