Diddy Misses Daughter Chance's High School Graduation Amid Grand Jury News, Also Absent for Twins' Prom: Report
Sean "Diddy" Combs will reportedly skip significant moments in his children's lives as his legal issues intensify.
According to reports, the embattled producer will be absent for his 17-year-old daughter Chance's high school graduation on Thursday.
Chance, whom Diddy co-parents with Sarah Chapman, will graduate from a Los Angeles high school with other relatives reportedly in attendance, but her father won't be there.
Diddy, 54, has informed his family about his absence, though he hasn't provided a specific reason, per the 'New York Post.'
The family believes his legal troubles and the need to keep a low profile are behind his decision. If Diddy attended the ceremony, many suspect his visit may create a media frenzy overshadowing Chance's big day.
As for attendees, sources indicate that some of Chance's half-siblings and members of Kim Porter's family will be present.
Jessie and D'Lila, the Bad Boy Records' founder twins with the late Kim Porter, are juniors in high school who recently attended prom. Diddy reportedly also missed this event as he continues to stay in Miami.
Despite the recent reports, the Harlem rapper has been an involved father throughout his children's lives. They were reportedly with him during his home's federal raids in March.
He was reportedly preparing to take them on a Spring Break trip when federal agents stopped his private jet in Florida. Sources close to the situation told TMZ that federal authorities haven't imposed any travel restrictions on him.
Per CNN, the musician is currently being named in eight civil lawsuits since November. Of the eight, seven of which accuse him of sexual assault. Sources at the news outlet claim witnesses have been notified by investigators who could testify in front of a grand jury in New York City.
After 'Rolling Stone' released an exposé this week with allegations of abuse from 50 of his associates, his legal team responded to the report.
"Mr. Combs cannot comment on settled litigation, will not comment on pending litigation, and cannot address every allegation picked up by the press from any source, no matter how unreliable," Diddy's lawyer Jonathan Davis to the outlet. "We are aware that the proper authorities are conducting a thorough investigation and therefore have confidence any important issues will be addressed in the proper forum, where the rules distinguish facts from fiction."
