Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump is reportedly considering a place for Tesla leader Elon Musk at the White House amid their growing alliance.

According to 'The Wall Street Journal,' the role isn't fully locked in and only has the potential to manifest should Trump be elected. That said, the two have been in close contact and reportedly have ideas for their potential union.

Per the news outlet, the 45th president has been discussing how the tech billionaire could offer his "formal input" on issues including the border, the economy, and preventing voter fraud.

The former "Make America Great Again" leader and Musk — who was recently dethroned as 2nd richest man in the world by Jeff Bezos — reportedly speak "several times a month" by phone, seemingly doing away with their turbulent past.

Friction had occurred between the two stemming back to 2022, when Musk and Trump traded insults. Trump claimed Musk's contract with Twitter, now known as X, was a "rotten deal," while the CTO of SpaceX claimed it was time for Trump to "sail into the sunset."

Trump's senior advisor Brian Hughes clarified to the 'New York Post' that "President Trump will be the only voice of what role an individual plays in his presidency."

When CNBC's 'Squawk Box' co-host Joe Kernen asked Trump about his recent meeting with Musk alongside wealthy Republican donors, he confirmed saying, "I did."

"Look, I've been friendly with him over the years. I've helped him when I was president. I helped him. I've liked him," Trump, 77, confirmed.

Despite Musk never publicly choosing a political side, he has weighed in on what he believes to be important. On #400 of the 'Lex Fridman' podcast, he claimed "Woke mind virus is communism rebranded."

"If the woke is left, then I suppose that's true. I think there's aspects of the left that are good," Musk, 52, said in an interview with Lex Fridman last year. "If you're in favor of the environment, if you want to have a positive future for humanity, if you believe in empathy for your fellow human beings, being kind and not cruel, whatever those values are."

Elon Musk is worth a whopping $210.3 billion per 'Forbes' and is one of the top five richest men in the world.
