The late Queen Elizabeth once made an unexpected disclosure regarding the hierarchy among the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, before the birth of Prince Louis in January 2018.

Even though Prince Louis hadn't been born yet, it's likely that the answer to the question: "Which of the three kids rules the roost?" remains unchanged to this day, reflecting the same revelation made by Her late Majesty years ago.

William and Kate ascended to the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales after the queen's death in September 2022. The royal family, now adopting the surname Wales, consists of Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

According to Queen Elizabeth, the one who will hold the most authority in the trio is Princess Charlotte.

Queen Elizabeth expressed her views when Prince George was merely 4 years old and Princess Charlotte was just 2. Despite George being the elder sibling and the heir to the throne, the late queen, according to 'The Mirror,' noted Charlotte's dominance in the family dynamic remained unaltered by age or royal succession protocol.

According to The Mirror, Charlotte "is known as being a confident and self-assured young girl, which has been evident from an early age among those closest to her."

Town & Country recounts an incident from January 2018 when Queen Elizabeth was gifting a book to 10-year-old Emily Clay. When Emily's mother was asked if Emily looked after her younger sister, she responded, "It's the other way around." In response, the late queen remarked, "It's like that with Charlotte and George."

As reported by The Mirror, Princess Charlotte's protective nature extends especially towards her younger sibling Prince Louis.

In a photograph shared by William, 41, and Kate, 42, to mark Charlotte's third birthday, she can be seen tenderly cradling baby Louis in her lap, planting a gentle kiss on his sleeping head.
