Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has denied claims that she and other Republicans "worship" Donald Trump and accused Democrats of worshipping George Floyd.

On Monday, the Republican representative shared a video of herself being interviewed following Dr. Anthony Fauci's public testimony on Capitol Hill.

Greene fired back at Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, who slammed Republicans for "bowing to convicted felon" Trump during the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic's hearing on Monday -- four days after the former president was found guilty of 34 felony charges in his criminal hush-money trial.

"We have Jamie Raskin in there accusing us of worshipping Trump, worshipping a 'convicted felon,'" an angry Greene told a reporter, using two fingers to mime quotation marks while saying "convicted felon."

"I don't worship [Trump]; I worship God. Jesus is my savior. I don't worship President Trump," Greene insisted.

She suggested that the media and Democrats were hypocritical because they allegedly "worship George Floyd," who had felony convictions before his May 2020 murder sparked racial justice protests across the U.S. and the world.

Greene went on to blame Democrats for "the lockdowns, forced vaccinations, kids being forced to stay home, people committing suicide, and all the horrors this country lived through during [COVID-19]."

The Georgia representative also doubled down on her criticisms of Fauci, alleging that the immunologist who served as the face of the U.S. COVID-19 response "belongs in prison."

"He should be tried for mass murder, and he should be tried for crimes against humanity. That's how I feel after that hearing. That's how the American people feel," Greene told the reporter before walking away.

Greene made the comments after she and other Republicans grilled Fauci when he testified at the Monday hearing about the U.S.' COVID-19 response and the origins of the virus, NBC News reported.

Fauci denied several allegations from Republicans, including that he allegedly tried to cover up the origins of the pandemic during his time as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

During the hearing, Greene refused to call Fauci "doctor" and claimed that he did not deserve to have a medical license.

"That man does not deserve to have a license. As a matter of a fact, it should be revoked, and he belongs in prison," Greene said, as seen in a video shared by C-Span.

She also criticized mask mandates and accused Fauci of approving alleged experiments involving the torture of beagles.

Democrats, including Raskin, defended Fauci and criticized their Republican colleagues for unnecessarily vilifying Fauci, who stepped down from government office in 2022.

Raskin said at the start of the hearing that Fauci's testimony "will dispel these hysterical claims and reveal that the people bowing down to a twice-impeached convicted felon who told Americans to inject themselves with bleach now want you to believe not only a big political lie but a big medical lie too."
